PURPOSE: An apparatus for crushing high temperature scrap coil using rapid cooling is provided which is capable of skipping posttreatment process and improving transportation efficiency by crushing the coil to small pieces by applying mechanical impact to coil whose material is changed by rapidly cooling the tail end of high temperature scrap coil. CONSTITUTION: In an apparatus for treating scrap coil(5) at the tail end of wire rod discharged from coil coiler and transferred to conveyor rollers(3), the apparatus for crushing high temperature scrap coil using rapid cooling comprises a wire rod sensing and stopping means comprising a pair of sensing sensors(8) installed with being penetrated into both side guides(3a) of the conveyor rollers, and a stopper roller(10) at a central part of which a stopper pin(10a) is formed as the stopper roller is being rotationally operated by stopper driving cylinder(9) so that the stopper roller is operated according to sensing signals generated from the pair of sensing sensors; and a wire rod cooling and cutting means comprising a lower deformed roller(15) installed at the same elevation as the conveyor rollers in front of the wire rod sensing and stopping means, and an upper deformed roller(13) which is installed directly above the lower deformed roller in such a manner that the upper deformed roller is vertically moved, in which refrigerant injection nozzles(14) are formed, and which is axially connected to driving motor(21).
