The container, comprising an inner supple and impermeable envelope, an outer envelop and a surrounding reinforcing element is set on a plain timber supporting pallet with lifting straps attached to the pallet and the outer envelope. The straps are attached to different points on the pallet and are joined to the outer envelope by seams, and the container can have an additional outer covering layer to ensure its physical integrity. The container, comprising an inner supple and impermeable envelope, an outer envelope (2) and a surrounding reinforcing element (3) e.g. of corrugated cardboard, is set on a plain timber supporting pallet (6) with lifting straps (5a - 5d) attached to the pallet and the outer envelope.
