PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that it is difficult to immediately suppress residual vibration of a pressurizing chamber and particularly, when a small ink drop is ejected, bending ejection or mist due to the residual vibration may be generated and deterioration in image quality such as a striped image may occur. SOLUTION: A driving signal generated by a driving signal generating circuit 77 includes a first waveform element 101 arising from a reference voltage Vref for ejecting an ink drop by contracting the pressurizing chamber 6, a third waveform element 103 for maintaining the contracted condition of the pressurizing chamber 6 contracted by being applied with the first waveform element 101, and a second waveform element 102 arising after the maintaining condition by the third waveform element 103 in order to suppress residual vibration of a meniscus after the ejection of an ink drop by contracting the pressurizing chamber 6. A relationship of a time interval T1 between a generation timing t1 of the first waveform element 101 and a generation timing t2 of the second waveform element 102 to a natural vibration cycle Tc of the pressurizing chamber 6 is set to be T1<Tc.
