PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a prepreg capable of being handled without much separation of a resin powder, to provide a method for producing the prepreg, and to provide a method for producing a metal-foil-clad laminate. SOLUTION: The prepreg is composed of a glass fiber reinforcement and a resin composition impregnated into the reinforcement, wherein the resin composition contains a thermosetting resin and a water-soluble polymer. The method for producing the prepreg comprises the steps of dispersing a mixture of all raw materials but the water-soluble polymer in an aqueous solution of the water-soluble polymer to form a resin slurry and impregnating the resin slurry into the glass fiber reinforcement.
