<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a whole processing time from becoming long by reliably preventing a customer from leaving an identification (ID) card, and also checking whether the ID card is left or not during an identifying examination. <P>SOLUTION: When identification is performed, a reader reads the image of the ID card which the customer sets in the ID setting part of a reception terminal. The image is transmitted to a processing terminal, and while the identification is performed in the processing terminal the reader reads the ID setting part. A bit number calculated from the image file is compared with a predetermined threshold, so as to determine whether the ID card is left or not. When the ID card is left, a message for urging the customer to take out the ID card is displayed in the operation display part of the reception terminal, and also reporting is conducted to the processing terminal.
