PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a data backup method capable of easily and certainly backing up data. SOLUTION: A main server 5 backs up the data stored in a main database 5a of the main server 5 with data in a backup database 6a of a backup server 6 by FTP in prescribed timing. At that time, the backup server 6 stores a log file recorded with a transmission result of the data, refers to the log file in prescribed timing, and requests the main server 5 to back up the data ended in failure in the backup.
