<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a biotope-observing pond which can simply be installed in the above-ground part of a garden, rooftop, etc. and in which organisms such as water-side plants and cyprinodont can readily be observed/controlled by children. <P>SOLUTION: The biotope-observing pond is obtained by forming a quadrilateral outer frame 1 detachable in nearly flat ground part and laying a watertight water-blocking sheet 2 on the inside formed by the outer frame and the ground part to form a pond part and arranging vegetable fiber nonwoven fabric rolls such as palm rolls 3 adjacent to a pair of inside surfaces of the pound part. In the biotope-observing pond, concrete blocks 5 are fixed to a prescribed peripheral surface of the vegetable fiber nonwoven fabric roll and planters 8 in which aquatic plants are planted are arranged in the ground part and a variable drain pipe 161 for water level control is installed in a part of the outer frame. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
