PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make an ink jet printer printable until a head is replaced without delaying a printing speed so much and without changing an operation control of the apparatus to be so complicate even when a nonjet nozzle is given rise to in the printer. SOLUTION: When the nonjet nozzle is given rise to in the head, the number of blocks is increased by resetting divide blocks by a split printing system, and a nonjet dot of the divide block including the nonjet nozzle is jet printed by an increased block to correct the dot.
