PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a strainer capable of performing the maintenance of a reticulated body in a water supply state. SOLUTION: The strainer comprises a main body having a primary inlet and a secondary outlet both of which are connectable to the midway of a pipeline and first and second flow channels common to the primary inlet and the secondary outlet, a changeover valve for changing over the second flow channel, first and second reticulated bodies provided on the ways of the first and second flow channels, and a check valve arranged to at least one flow channel between the first and second flow channels to prevent the back flow from a secondary side. One flow channel between the first and second flow channels communicates with the secondary outlet through the check valve and the reticulated body positioned in the other flow channel. The first and second reticulated bodies are respectively built in the main body by the cap fitted to the main body in an airtight state and the cap is detachably fixed to the main body by the elastic ring mounted in the periphery of the cap.
