PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To precisely stop the crankshaft of an engine in a desired position.

SOLUTION: A motor control unit 4000 comprises a rotation synchronization part 4024 for synchronizing the signal of the rotating position sensor 3110 of a motor generator 3100 with the signal of a crank angle sensor 3020; and a lock control part 4014 for estimating the crank angle by use of the signal of the rotating position sensor 3110 synchronized with the crank angle by the rotation synchronization part 4024, and controlling a crankshaft into a semi-stopping state by use of the motor generator 3100 when the crank angle is in a desired stop position. The rotation synchronization part 4024 includes a circuit for synchronizing the signal of the rotating position sensor 3110 with the signal of the crank angle sensor 3020 so that the crank angle in low rotation can be precisely estimated by the rotating position sensor 3110 higher in precision than the crank angle sensor 3020.
