PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and device for detecting the opening of flexible bag by which a fluidized material can be injected surely into the filling chambers of a flexible bag by preventing the occurrence of a failure, such as the scattering etc., of the fluidized material on the outside at the time of continuously filling up the filling chambers with the material in the bag by uniformly opening the openings of the filling chambers through the whole body of the bag toward a fluidized material injecting device. SOLUTION: At the time of detecting the opened states of the fluidized material injecting openings of the filling chambers in the bag which is constituted by laminating flexible thin film materials upon another and has the filling chambers filled up with the fluidized material, such as a liquid etc., the opening of the bag is opened by means of an opening means and the image of the opening is picked up with an image picking-up means, such as the CCD camera etc. Then the shape of the opening including the opened area of the opening is detected by performing image analysis on the obtained image pickup signals and the detected value of the opened shape of the opening is compared with a set value of the opened shape including a preset reference opened area. When the detected value meets the set value, the fluidized material is injected into the filling chambers from the opening. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
