COATED PAPER FOR PHOTOGRAVURE

A coated paper for photogravure having an original paper and, provided thereon, a coating layer containing a pigment and an adhesive, wherein the coating layer comprises an inorganic pigment having a volume-based distribution such that particles having a diameter of 0.4 to 4.2 mum account for 65 % or more, and a hollow organic pigment having an average particle diameter of 0.1 to 0.6 mum. The coated paper for photogravure is excellent in operability, has a low density, exhibits high gloss and has excellent printing suitability.
