PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power management system which allows significant reduction in power cost and can be introduced even into a small-scale facility with ease.

SOLUTION: The power management system is for small-scale convenient stores with an electric capacitance of 50KW or so. The electric installations 3 to 6 in the store are replaced with power saving equipment, and thereby the power consumption is reduced. A small-sized cubicle arrangement 10 which can be remotely monitored is introduced, and thereby power reception under high voltage contract is made feasible and the electric power charge is reduced in half. As a result, the power cost is significantly reduced by the multiplier effect of power consumption reduction and electric power charge reduction. The power consumption of a group of stores is managed in a lump by a server 40 for power management. Consequently, electricity purchasing and payment of electric power charge can be carried out in one place in a centralized manner.
