METHOD FOR TREATING WASTE OF BUILDING MATERIAL

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently produce ethanol and an organic acid from a saccharide obtained by hydrolyzing a waste of building material as a raw material according to fermentation. SOLUTION: A treatment comprises a step of pretreating the waste of building material, a saccharifying step of hydrolyzing the waste of building material after the step of pretreating and then producing the saccharide and a fermentation step of obtaining a 2-4C alcohol or the organic acid from the saccharide according to the fermentation. The step of pretreating includes the cooking or steaming of the waste of building material in order to promote the hydrolytic reaction in the saccharifying step. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
