COMPUTER SYSTEM FOR EFFICIENTLY EXECUTING PROGRAM HAVING CONDITIONAL BRANCH

PURPOSE: To maximize the processing capacity of a computer processor by executing operation following branch operation by using a control field for recognizing a program pass for operation. CONSTITUTION: A branch control unit 15 encodes a pass recognition result for a conditioned branch operation during the delay of branch. Control fields 16 to 20 control the operation of plural function units 11 to 15 to be simultaneously controlled by the contents of an instruction register 21 in response to their operation to recognize an operation program pass to be executed in operation following branch operation. The operation following the branch operation can be executed by the use of the pass recognition and the control fields 16 to 20. Consequently the processing capacity of the computer processor system like a high level pipeline can be maximized.
