PURPOSE: A step down AC power control circuit is provided to prevent an erroneous operation and reduce costs, while preventing damages of electronic loads and allowing for ease of installation. CONSTITUTION: A step down AC power control circuit comprises an AC power inlet unit; a bridge diode connected to the AC power inlet unit, wherein the bridge diode includes a first diode having an anode connected to the AC power inlet unit, a second diode having a cathode connected to the cathode of the first diode, a third diode having a cathode connected to the anode of the first diode, and a fourth diode having an anode connected to the anode of the third diode and a cathode connected to the anode of the second diode; a switching element connected to the bridge diode, wherein the switching element is not directly connected to the AC power inlet unit; a snubber unit including a first capacitor connected in parallel to the switching element, an inductor connected in serial to the switching element, and a second capacitor connected in parallel to the inductor; and a load terminal electrically connected to the load.
