SCUM SKIMMER FOR OIL SEPARATION BASIN OF WASTEWATER TREATMENT PLANT

PURPOSE: Provided is a scum skimmer being capable of mechanically continuously removing scum floated on the surface of water in an oil separation basin, thereby reducing work force and time and increasing wastewater treatment efficiency. CONSTITUTION: The scum skimmer comprises a body of revolution(20) with a polygon section, which rotates and is installed at the center of an oil separation basin; a float member(21) with a hollow through which the body of revolution is inserted and which is slidable in vertical direction along the body of revolution(20); a supporting bar(22) coupled to the float member(21) at an end and extending in horizontal direction over the surface of water; a sieve screen(23) fixed to the supporting bar(22) for screening scum and suspended solids; a foreign matter collection hopper(30) provided at an upper end portion of the oil separation basin; a transfer unit for moving a sieve screen(23) submerged in half to the collection hopper(30), and a rotating and moving unit for detaching foreign matters collected in the collection hopper(30) by rotating and moving the sieve screen(23) and moving back the sieve screen(23).
