PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To certainly carry out automatic restarting after automatic stopping of an engine in a vehicle carrying out the automatic stopping/automatic restarting of the engine. SOLUTION: The vehicle is provided with an electric compressor constituting at least an air conditioner and a high pressure battery for feeding power to a motor/generator. At the time of automatic restarting of the engine, the ECU (vehicle control device) for carrying out an instruction of the automatic stopping and the automatic restarting of the engine stops the electric compressor by a predetermined condition.
