<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus which prevents undesired image formation. <P>SOLUTION: When setting different from standard setting is performed (no in step S6 or no in step S13) before operation of an automatic clear function is operated (yes in step S16) after setting of a copy condition is performed (yes in step S2 or yes in step S9), the background of a key for the setting different from standard setting is displayed in red (step S8 or step S15). When performed setting is standard setting (yes in step S6 or yes in step S13), the background of a key for the setting is displayed in blue (step S7 or step S14).
