A tool holder (2) holds a shank (14) of a cutter tool (3). The tool holder (2) comprises a supporting cylinder (4). An operation body (6) moves between a locking position (Q6) and an unlocking position (P6). A locking member (5) is supported by the supporting cylinder (4). The locking member (5) moves radially in accordance with the position of the operation body (6). An engaging member (9) is located between the supporting cylinder (4) and the operation body (6). The engaging member (9) moves between an engaging position (Q9) and a disengaging position (P9). When the engaging member (9) is in the engaging position (Q9), the operation body is prevented from moving relative to the supporting cylinder (4) and is held in the unlocking position (P6), and when the engaging member (9) is in the disengaging position (P9), the operation body is allowed to move relative to the supporting cylinder (4).
