PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily and quickly retrieve a desired image file. SOLUTION: Whether or not a power source has been just turned on is determined (a step S101), and when it is determined that the power source has been just turned on, whether or not a "label creation" is selected is determined (a step S102). When "label creation" is selected, the information of a camera such as the next file number to be added to an image to be photographed the next, the current date(recording date), or the current position is written in the label(Label.txt) (a step S104). Also, whether or not "continuous label edition" is selected is determined (a step S105). When it is determined that "continuous label edition" is selected, the location or the other items are inputted to the label (a step S107), and the inputted detail information is written in the label (a step S108).
