PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cursor slip mechanism for a height meter which prevents the excessive force to be applied to a motor and connected parts even if the force is accidentally applied. SOLUTION: In this slip mechanism, one end of a hollow shaft 21b is provided with a solid male screw part 21c, and the other end of the hollow shaft 21b is provided with a doughnut-like flange part 21a at a right angle against the hollow shaft 21b. A cylindrical rubber pulley 22 having the axial length longer than the axial length of the hollow shaft 21b is loosely fitted in the hollow shaft 21b freely to rotate each other. A doughnut-like presser plate 23 is inserted into the male screw part 21c, and arranged in the rubber pulley 22 on a side opposite to the flange part 21a, and a presser spring 24 is inserted into the male screw part 21c to make it abut on the presser plate 23, and a nut 26 is screwed to the male screw part 21c to adjust the spring force of the spring 24.
