<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ice plug forming method for efficiently forming an ice plug in a short time when forming the ice plug in a vicinity of a branching section of a pipe branched from a pipe with a fluid distributing therein. <P>SOLUTION: In the ice plug forming method to form an ice plug on a second pipe 2 branched from a first pipe 1 with the fluid distributing therein at a branching section 10 with the fluid distribution stopped therein by using a cooling unit 5 and an auxiliary cooling unit 6, the auxiliary cooling unit 6 is fitted to the second pipe 2 in a vicinity of the branching section 10, the cooling unit 5 is fitted at the position from the branching section 10 more separately from the position with the auxiliary cooling unit 6 fitted, a part of the second pipe 2 is cooled by the auxiliary cooling unit 6, and the entire circumference of the second pipe 2 is cooled by the cooling unit 5. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO</p> |
