PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a resin composition containing a resin obtained by polymerizing a monomer component indispensably containing anα,β-unsaturated carboxylic acid and/or a urethane-based resin and a multi-valent metal compound, excellent in one pack liquid stability, outlook of its coated film, close adhesion of the coated film, water rubbing resistance, warm water whitening resistance and anti-blocking property. SOLUTION: This resin composition indispensably containing theα,β-unsaturated carboxylic acid and/or the urethane-based resin and the multi-valent metal compound is characterized by containing tartaric acid and/or its salt.
