<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermotherapeutic apparatus that is fixed to an optional position from a prescribed position of an organism, can release energy, can provide optimum therapy to each patient and can sufficiently exhibit the effectiveness of thermotherapy. <P>SOLUTION: In the thermotherapeutic apparatus that irradiates energy to biological tissue and heats a lesion, an insertion section 3 that can be inserted into an organism, an energy emission section 4 emitting out energy from a prescribed position of the insertion section 3, engagement means 5A, 5B, 5C and 5D provided in the insertion section 3 and in which engagement members 16, 23, 25, 36 and 50 engage with the organism when operated from the outside.
