摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To restrain a shortage of driving force in a shift, and to effectively reduce a shift shock while minimizing required time until finishing the shift from starting the shift. SOLUTION: This shift controller of a stepped transmission 12 with an automatic clutch has the automatic clutch 24 and a gear type stepped shift mechanism 22 arranged in a driving force transmission passage between an engine 10 and driving wheels 20L and 20R as a driving force source and mutually connected in series. When generating indication of an up-shift (S20), transmission torque capacity of the clutch 24 is reduced to a value substantially equal to output torque of the engine 10 (S50), and a pre-shift of the up-shift is performed in such a state (S70), and the output torque of the engine 10 is reduced (S90). When detecting the completion of an actual up-shift of the shift mechanism 22 in such a state (S100), the transmission torque capacity of the clutch 24 is increased, and is restored to an ordinary value (S110).
