<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To display survey information with a high level of visibility by associating the survey information obtained from a surveying device with image information on a survey site obtained from a camera easily and efficiently. <P>SOLUTION: An overview image of a survey site is taken by a digital still camera 20. Three reference points P<SB>1</SB>, P<SB>2</SB>and P<SB>3</SB>are specified on the overview image. Positions of the reference points P<SB>1</SB>, P<SB>2</SB>and P<SB>3</SB>are surveyed by a survey device such as a total station or the like. Position and inclination of the camera 20 against the device 10 are calculated from the positions of the points P<SB>1</SB>, P<SB>2</SB>and P<SB>3</SB>on the actual space and the positions of the points P<SB>1</SB>, P<SB>2</SB>and P<SB>3</SB>on the overview image. Arbitrary points Q<SB>1</SB>, Q<SB>2</SB>and Q<SB>3</SB>within the overview image are surveyed with the survey device 10. The points Q<SB>1</SB>, Q<SB>2</SB>and Q<SB>3</SB>are displayed on the overview image from the position and inclination of the camera 20.
