PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize the alternator for vehicles coping with a small size and to a high output further to a low cost. SOLUTION: A stator core 32 is provided with two star connection three-phase windings. Electrical conductors are arranged so as to radially form four layers in one slot. The winding of one phase has a plurality of turn parts 33c1 connecting between first/second layers and a plurality of turn parts 33c2 connecting between third/fourth layers. These turn parts 33c1, 33c2 are arranged systematically. The winding of one phase has one turn part 33a1 of the same layer connecting the first layers. The winding of one phase has two turn parts 33b1, 33b2 positioned adjacent radially to the turn part 33a1 of the same layer to connect the second/third layers. Further, the winding of one phase has output lines 3111, 3112. As a result, the winding of each phase is provided by one continuous line arranged so as to make two circumferential turns around the stator core 32. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
