<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a counter substrate for a liquid crystal display panel which does not give rise to the malfunction of the liquid crystal display panel by sufficiently suppressing the temperature rise of the liquid crystal display panel, has high reliability and can deal with a liquid crystal display device of the next generation required to have the line width of light shielding films of ≤2 μm. <P>SOLUTION: The counter substrate is used for the liquid crystal display panel having a liquid crystal layer driven by the voltage impressed between pixel electrodes and counter electrodes arranged to face each other, in which the counter substrate 100 is formed with the light shieldable films 20 in a matrix form on the side facing a driving substrate having the pixel electrodes on a translucent substrate 10. The films 20 have high-reflection films 23 consisting of laminated films of reflection increasing films 22 and reflection films 21 consisting of multilayered dielectric films successively formed on the translucent substrate 10. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
