PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate the management of information and to protect a copyright by realizing recording of information regarding the program of a CD^ROM or own information only in a related CD-R by setting correlation between a CD-ROM disk and a CD-R disk. SOLUTION: Disk identification information is attached to a CD-ROM disk and a CD-R disk. When the application program of a CD-ROM is executed, and information regarding the program is recorded in the CD-R, the disk identification information is compared between the CD-ROM and the CD-R, and recording is allowed only when coincidence is determined. Alternatively, when the information of the CD-ROM is copied in the CD-R, the disk information is compared between the CD-ROM and the CD-R, and copying is allowed only when coincidence is determined.
