PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of easily, inexpensively, and considerably precisely forming a wood-pile three-dimensional photonic crystal having a diamond crystal structure and a Jablonobite three-dimensional photonic crystal. SOLUTION: The method comprises a stage of radiating four laser light beams to a photosensitive synthetic resin to generate first laser light interference patterns perpendicular to each other and a stage of radiating four laser light beams to the photosensitive synthetic resin to generate second laser light interference pattern perpendicular to the first laser light interference patterns. Or the photosensitive synthetic resin is rotated around a center axis line at 120°twice, and three laser light beams inclined as prescribed angles to the center axis line are radiated to the photosensitive synthetic resin before rotation, after the first rotation, and after the second rotation to generate laser light interference patterns.
