<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a breakage preventing treatment method of a high chromium high carbon steel strip and a continuous treatment apparatus capable of preventing strip breakage when the high chromium high carbon steel strip is continuously treated by the continuous treatment apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: When the tip and tail end parts of the high chromium high carbon steel strip containing≥0.8% C and≥1.0% Cr by mass % are joined by welding and the high chromium high carbon steel strip is treated by the continuous treatment apparatus, after the completion of the welding, a weld-jointed part is cooled to a lower temperature than a prescribed cooling temperature, then the jointed part is heated and kept at a re-heating temperature higher than a prescribed temperature for more than a prescribed time. The prescribed cooling temperature is 400°C, the prescribed re-heating temperature is 500°C and the prescribed time is 5 s preferably. In the continuous treatment apparatus of the steel strip, a heating means is disposed preferably in a welding apparatus or at its outlet side. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO</p> |
