The device has a drive unit with motor-gearbox unit(s), base plate and control electronics and a rail unit with a toothed belt arrangement and a carriage movable along a guide rail by the toothed belt with a clamp head for a pinion unit. The motor-gearbox unit is positioned in a main plane parallel to the attachment surface relative to the drive head of the drive unit using a drive shaft, especially a multi-tooth shaft protruding into both units.
