<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device and a method that allow to match the transmission rate of a channel encoded symbol, in a data communication system. <P>SOLUTION: A transmission rate matching device and a method allowed to be applied, when the use of a part or all of in a non-structural code (a convulsion code or a linear block code) and a structural code (a turbo code) are proposed. The transmission rate matching device is constituted in a transmission rate matching code that fits for the invension of the coding rate of a coded symbol. The symbol coded by the non structural code or the symbol coded by the structural code are allowed, to be transmission rate matched by only changing the value of parameters (an input symbol number, an output symbol number, a puncturing/repetition pattern parameter) at an early stage in a simplified transmission rate matching structure. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
