The device comprises a ring (2) and at least one cutting roller (1) made of hard material with a sharp edge around the outer radius which projects inwards. The roller is rotatably mounted and preferably three cutting rollers project at even intervals out from the inside of the ring. The internal shape of the ring has a spherical shape and the smaller diameter is smaller than the diameter along which the outer radii of the rollers run on the surface of the egg.
