<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the bending characteristics of a flexible pipe and elongate the durable life thereof. <P>SOLUTION: The flexible pipe comprises a metal tube having irregular portions formed on the outer periphery face by meshing sectionally S-shaped metal plates with each other. The length L12 of a protruded portion of the S-shaped metal plate is 0.9 time or less length L1 of a recessed portion thereof.
