PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a face protector for preventing lowering of strength of a face edge leather and a chin edge leather to be firm and durable so that the safety can be maintained. SOLUTION: In this face protector for kendo, a face cushion 13 for protecting the head and the shoulders and a jaw tasse 14b of a jaw member 14 for protecting the throat and the neck are fitted to the face edge leather 12 and the jaw edge leather 14 fitted to a washer 11a shaped substantially facing to the outline of the face of the face metal 11 for protecting the face. The protector is provided with an abutting member 20 where the face is abutted covering the washer 11a inside the face cushion 13 or the jaw tasse 14b. A waterproof sheet 30 is interposed partially between the abutting member 20 and the face edge leather 12 or the jaw edge leather 14a. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
