PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To automatically perform the rotating movement operation of a view point, with the noted portion by an operator retained in a display screen. SOLUTION: The coordinate (Xa, Ya) of the noted point in the display screen is determined at (0, 0), and an area near the coordinate is estimated as a noted area (S90201). Points on the surface of a three-dimensional graphic are considered as orderly checked points (S90202, S90203), and the coordinates (X, Y) corresponding to the checked points are within the noted area on the display screen 12 (S90205: YES). When the Z-coordinates of the checked points on a projected plane coordinate system XYZ are larger than the present maximum values (Z_MAX) (S90206: YES), the Z-coordinates of the checked points are considered as the present maximum values (Z_MAX) of the Z-coordinates (S90207). When unchecked point is determined to be absent (S90202: NO), a rotating center position is set to (Xa, Ya, Z_MAX) (S90208). COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
