LENS BARREL AND CAMERA SYSTEM PROVIDED WITH THIS LENS BARREL

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely prevent unintended switching from an autofocusing mode to a manual focusing mode during zoom operation relating to a lens barrel of a straight zoom lens etc., and a camera system provided with the lens barrel. SOLUTION: The camera system has a control means which can switch the state that focusing is made possible by driving of a focus driving system to a state that the focusing is made possible by operation in a second direction of a manual operating member when the operation in the second direction of the manual operating member is detected even in the state that the focusing is made possible by driving of the focus driving system. The switching by the control means is not performed even when the operation in the second direction of the manual operating member is detected while a zoom operation detecting means detects the driving of a zoom means.
