The socket section (2) of a fluid plug-in coupling, consisting of a muff housing (10), has an opening for a plug-in connector (4) and a locking device (14) for the releasable fixing of the inserted plug-in connector. The locking device has an axially movable release element (20) engaging in the plug-in opening and acting against sections (18) of a retaining element (16). The assembly has a safety element (26) in such a way that the release element in a locked position is blocked against a release movement and in a freed position allowed to execute a release movement.
