METHOD FOR DIAGNOSING SEGMENT ROLL DURING CONTINUOUS CASTING

PURPOSE: A method for diagnosing segment roll during continuous casting is provided to perform efficient facility management by continuously diagnosing segment driving roll and guide roll during casting using information only on pressure applied to upper frame and pressure information applied to the driving roll in a continuous casting facility. CONSTITUTION: In a method for diagnosing segment roll of continuous caster capable of adjusting roll gap during continuous casting by operating segment upper frame(12), the method comprises steps of measuring pressure of segment reduction cylinder(7) for reducing the segment upper frame; measuring pressure of a driving roll reduction cylinder(8) adhered to the segment upper frame to play a role of reducing a slab(4); finding first harmonic by harmonic analyzing the pressure data after measuring pressure values applied through the respective reduction cylinders through driving roll pressure measuring device(9) and segment upper frame pressure measuring device(10); and judging the abrasion state of rolls from frequency and magnitude of the first harmonic.
