PURPOSE: A device for preventing discharge of a battery for a vehicle using a sensor is provided to prevent discharge of the battery caused by lighting of a room lamp when a driver slightly shuts a door of the vehicle. CONSTITUTION: A device for preventing discharge of a battery for a vehicle using a sensor(120) includes the sensor installed on a side of a door frame(100) of the vehicle, to detect the standoff distance between the door frame and the end portion of a door, and a control unit turning on/off a room lamp by using a signal detected from the sensor. A door striker(110) is installed on a side of the door frame. The room lamp is turned on/off according to the output value of the control unit.
