PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrophotographic image receiving sheet which is used in equipment using electrophotographic processes, such as copying machine, printer, facsimile machine, for example, a color copying machine and which can exhibit excellent image quality and gloss of a photographic image and an image forming method using the electrophotographic image receiving sheet. SOLUTION: The sheet includes a support and a toner-image receiving layer which is disposed at least on one surface of the support and contains thermoplastic resin and the glass transition temperature (Tg) of the thermoplstic resin constituting the layer is -30°C or higher and the sheet is obtained by performing a soft calendering treatment in which a metal roller having a surface temperature lower than a temperature of the glass transition temperature (Tg) +20°C is brought into contact with the surface of the toner image receiving layer.
