PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication device which has a number display function and displays the name of a sender that can be easily recognized by a recipient. SOLUTION: This communication device has a function that can selectively set either sender side registration such as a sender name, a company name and a personal name by the recipient side registration retrieved from a storage device of receiving side communication equipment by a retrieving means or a sender name by transmission on the basis of a received calling telephone number.
