<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a genuineness/falsehood determination system for a tradable coupon that can determine whether a tradable coupon is genuine in a short period of time and is still usable even if a tradable coupon using a new forgery preventing technology is employed. <P>SOLUTION: A tradable coupon information reader is equipped with different kinds of read means having different read systems and a read system selecting means, and a terminal is equipped with: a communication means; a transmitting and receiving means of transmitting read system specifying information received from a server to the tradable coupon information reader and receiving tradable coupon characteristic information read by the tradable coupon information reader; a display means; and a control means of performing control so that the read system specifying information received from the server is sent to the tradable coupon information reader, the tradable coupon characteristic information read by the tradable coupon information reader is sent to the server, and genuineness/falsehood information received from the server is displayed. The server is equipped with a communication means, a tradable coupon characteristic information database, a collating means, an input means, and a control means of performing control so that the read system specifying information and genuineness/falsehood information are sent to the terminal. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
