<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a parking brake device of a vehicle capable of monitoring an electric parking brake device without depending on a sensor. <P>SOLUTION: A circuit 30 of the parking brake device includes a circuit 31 for usual parking, a circuit 32 for increasing and reduction, a release circuit 33, and a relay switch 34 related to a manual switch 20. Voltage signals a to g are inputted into a CPU 52 from points nipping each switch. The CPU 52 compares arbitrary combination of these signals with a combination to which signals a to g correspond when the circuit 30 operates normally. It determines that abnormality occurs if a condition inconceivable at normal time in which their combinations differ to light a light emitting diode 50. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
