Hard foam insulation panel, joined together by corner sections with one arm having specific length to thickness ratio

Adjacent panels are joined together by a corner section (6) having one arm (9) with a length (L) which is at least five times greater than the arm thickness. The panel comprises a hard foam layer and a cover layer comprising e.g. glass fibre-reinforced polymer. The panel is joined to an L-shaped corner section which is preferably curved (20) on the inside and/or outside, one arm (9) having a length defined by the distance between its free end and the point (22) where its tangent (21 intersects with that for the other arm (19). An independent claim is also included for an insulation panel with the above construction, the corner section being maintained under stress in the corner region by a reduction or increase in the angle between its two arms.
