PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the rear end section of the final folding face of a paper sheet from producing unnecessary folds and bent sections when a folded paper sheet is discharged. SOLUTION: A folding machine is provided with two pairs of folding rollers 220 and 230 and a paper folding mechanism section 200 capable of folding a paper sheet zigzag. When the paper sheet is discharged after folding a paper sheet 900 by the paper folding mechanism 200, the paper sheet is transferred and discharged in the transferring direction of the paper sheet 900 by a pair of rollers which have performed the final folding.
