PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a disk drive capable of preventing the impossibility of data read/write caused by HDD wear. SOLUTION: This disk drive is provided with an HDD 40 for performing data read/write on a disk medium, and a determination means 13 for comparing the value of an operation frequency when read or write is performed with a predetermined prescribed value, and determining the operation limit situation of the HDD 40 when the value of the operation frequency exceeds the prescribed value.
