Portable device (1) for indicating the remaining credit from an initial credit amount, whereby the total credit is represented as a number of partial surfaces (3) on a card substrate. Each surface has a covering layer (5) that can be manually and irreversibly rubbed off or removed to indicate the spending or using of a credit. Optimally the card has a standard cash-card size.
